and he’s just looking around the room and listening to the guide talking about what a magnificent human he is, and his eyes fill with tears and then he just breaks down because he’s so happy and he’s spent his whole life listening to how rubbish he is and how he has no talent, and he believed those things, only to be thrown into a completely new time where he is revered and loved and appreciated above all others, and now it’s just worth it. all the suffering and the pain he went through is worth it because he knows that somewhere, sometime, people are going to appreciate what he did, and it won’t be in vain. he’ll be accepted.
